Father Ted star reveals cancer battle
'Father Ted' mavin Frank Kelly has revealed he is having chemotherapy after organism diagnosed with gut cancer.
The Mirror newspaper reports that the 69-year-old, world Health Organization played foul-mouthed priest Jack Hackett in the hit comedy, had a neoplasm removed last Sep.
He is in the middle of a seven-month chemotherapy course that doctors hope will halt the malignant neoplastic disease returning.
Oral presentation to the paper Princess Grace of Monaco said: "The neoplasm was the size of it of a bloody cabbage."
He continued: "I had discomforts and symptoms that I idea were just now gut problems. Only when you're told it's crab, it doesn't come as such a massive shock."
Kelly added: "I've made a nail recovery. Just I demand chemo to shorten the chance of it returning."
