Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina Ariel Rot started playing "rock en español" in Spain after teaming up with vocalist Alejo Stivel, drummer Manolo Iglesias, guitar player Julián Infante and bassist Felipe Lipe in a local outfit called Tequila. Their first record album called MatrÃcula de Honor came in 1978. The Spanish-Argentine quaternion disbanded in 1983 later issuing four records. Debajo del Puente became Ariel Rot's solo debut album, featuring the strike singles "Debajo del Puente," and "Veneno,". Nevertheless, ex-Los Abuelos de la Nada Andrés Calamaro linked him to piece a raw banding named Los RodrÃguez. They became a major routine in the Latin music scene after releasing the successful Sin Documentos. The gifted singer/guitarist and producer returned to his solo life history in 1997.
